November 25 1790: Hugh Harper in Balnaboth a son named Francis. Witnesses Kenneth Watt and Al Ross
Francis Harper married Isobel Grant from Ramahaggan on 14th April 1822. It is noted on the 1822 List of Inhabitants living at Boddom: Fras Harper and Isabel Grant (bride).
Contracted Francis Harper son of Hugh Harper in Balnaboth with Isobel Grant in Ramahaggan both in this parish and after regular proclamation of marriage banns and no objections offered were thereafter married on the 28th inst before witnesses.
Francis Harper died prior to 1841. His spouse Isobel Grant is given on the following census entries:

Isobel Harper, widow of Francis Harper farmer died 29th November 1872 at 6hr 30m pm at Bottom aged 76 years. (Death Certificate Birse #12)
Her parents are given as David Grant farmer (deceased) and Ann Grant m.s. Findlay (deceased)
Cause of death was chronic peritonitis and osteo-sarcoma for 3 months and certified by AD Keith MB CM
The informant was Thomas Christie son-in-law and the death was registered on the 30th November 1872 by James Ritchie.
Francis Harper and Isobel Grant had the following children:
January 30 1823: Francis Harper in Boddom and his wife Isabel Grant had a child baptised named Ann. Witnesses Charles Mitchell in Ennachy and David Grant in Ramahaggan.
March 29 1825: Francis Harper in Boddom and his wife Isobel Grant had a daughter baptised named Margaret. Witnesses Hugh Harper Balnaboth and James Finlay Wester Clune. Married William Knox (son of Francis Knox and Mary Brand) at Boddom, Birse on the 27 May 1861. (Birse #3). Family residing at Drumhead on 1881 census.
June 6 1827: Francis Harper in Boddam and his wife Isabel Grant had a child baptised named Hugh. Witnesses Hugh Harper in Balnaboth and David Grant in Ramahaggan
November 24 1829: Francis Harper in Bottom and his wife Isabel Grant had a child baptised named ---------- Witnesses James Grant and Peter Mortimer.
July 26 1832: Francis Harper Bottom and his wife Isabel Grant had a child baptised named Frances. Witnesses Hugh Harper and Robert Harper in Balnaboth.
June 17 1835: Francis Harper in Bottom and his wife Isab Grant had a child baptised named Isabella; witnesses Hugh and Robert Harper in Balnaboth.
May 23 1838: Francis Harper Boddam and his wife Isabel Grant had a child baptised named Christian before a diet of Examining at Boghead

May 1 1803: Hugh Harper in Balnaboth had a son baptised named Robert. Witnesses the congregation.
October 27 1833: Contracted Robert Harper and Barbara Low both in this parish and after regular proclamation of marriage banns and no objections offered they were thereafter married on 15th November.

Robert Harper, farmer and widower of Barbara Low died 28 August 1869 at 10hr 20m pm at Balnaboth in Birse. He was aged 66 years.
Parents are given as Hugh Harper farmer (deceased) and Margaret Harper m.s. Michie (deceased)
Cause: Phthisis for 8 months as certified by James McHardy LFPSG
The death was registered on 30th August 1869 at Birse by James Ritchie

Barbra Harper, farmer's wife married died 12 June 1860 at 2hrs pm at Balnaboth in Birse. She was 60 years of age.
Parents are given as Francis Low farmer (deceased) and Margaret Low m.n. Ross (deceased)
Cause of death was ulceration of the stomach for several years and was certified by James Walker MD who saw the deceased on the 11 June.
She was buried in the churchyard of Birse as certified by her husband Robert Harper who was also the informant on her certificate.
The death was registered on June 16 1860 by James Ritchie
