The 1792 List of Inhabitants shows WILLIAM ROSS and EUPHEMIA BRANDS living at Ennochie with Ann, Helen and Betty. William is aged between 30 - 40, Euphemia is aged between 20 - 30.
May 25 1783 Contracted William Rose in Ennachie with Euphemia Brands in Bogmoir and after were married June 16th
No death date has been found for William. Euphemia Brands died in Durris
1828 August 28th: Euphemia Brand a married woman in Balladrum died of a long illness and was interred in the churchyard of Strachan upon the 31st inst. (Durris Parish Registers)
Since their last child Jannet was born at Balladrum in Durris one would assume that the family moved there between 1806 - 1809.
The had the following children:
Ann: June 17 1787 William Rose in the Ennachie a daughter named Ann. Witnesses the congregation.
Helen: July 10 1788: William Ross in the Ennachy a daughter Helen. Witnesses John and James Roses.
Beatrix: March 29 1791 William Ross in the Ennachy a daughter Beatrix. Witnesses the congregation
Mary: October 16 1792 William Rose in the Ennachy a daughter Mary. Witnesses James Ross and John Ross
Mary married Samuel Grant Durris Parish Registers: 1820 August 13th Samuel Grant in the parish of Aboyne and Mary Ross in this Parish gave in their names in order to proclamation of marriage banns and being duly proclaimed were married at Balladrum upon the 1st day of September before witnesses.
Mary died 2nd January 1864 at Turfgate of Finzean in the Parish of Birse.

Barbara: October 18 1794 William Ross in the Ennachy a daughter named Barbara. Witnesses John and James Ross
James: July 27 1796 William Ross in the Ennachy had a son baptised named James. Witnesses John and James Ross both in the Ennachy. According to his death certificate (Durris #7), James Ross was the widower of Isabella D Turner. A marriage for this couple is recorded in the Banchory Ternan Parish Registers on 24 Mar 1827 (IGI). James died at Upper Balfour Durris on the 11th October 1874 aged 70 years. His nephew Alexr McHardy was the informant on the certificate.

Margaret: May 28 1800 William Ross in the Ennachy had a child baptised named Margaret. Witnesses James Ross and Finla CouttsHe married HELEN SMITH in Durris October 19th 1839: William Ross in this parish and Helen Smith in the parish of Kincardine O’Neil were matrimonially contracted and after publication of banns were married November 1st 1839.
William Ross died 20 Nov 1862 at Gennel in the Parish of Durris. He was aged 64 years. Informant was his brother James residing at Bankhead Durris. (Durris #17)
Helen Smith died 18th June 1863 at Gennel Durris. She was aged 57 years. Her parents were given as Peter Smith and Jane Smith m.s. Jaffray (both deceased). Informant on her death certificate was her son William. (Durris #8)

John died 7th January 1877 at Crathes Post Office, Banchory Ternan aged 73 years. His niece Barbara Smith was the informant on the certificate. (Banchory Ternan #4)
1841 census he is residing at Balladrum Durris.
1851 census he is residing with his brother James at Bankhead, Durris.

Erected to the memory of JOHN ROSS a native of Durris d. Crathies 7 Jan 1877 aged 73.
Elspet: January 10 1806 William Ross in the Ennachy had a child baptised named Elspet. Witnesses John Ross and Finla Coutts.
Elspet married Charles McHardy, no marriage has been found as yet and it is not known whether there is a connection to the McHardy family from Birse.
