Married: June 7 1829 “Contracted James Coutts in parish of Strachan with Anne Coutts in this parish and after regular proclamation of marriage banns without objections were married 19th current before witnesses." (Source: Birse Parish Registers. Banns were also called in Strachan Kincardineshire according to the IGI)

Died: 19th December 1873 at Belnahard in Birse. (Source Death Certificate Birse #9)

COUTTS: Ann

Baptised: 2 July 1804 at Birse: "Thomas Coutts in Wester Clune had a daughter baptised named Ann. Witnesses James Findlay Snr and Jnr."

Died: 4th August 1871 at Belnahard in Birse (Source Death Certificate Birse #16)

6.  Elizabeth Coutts baptised Strachan Kincardineshire 24 June 1841. (Source: IGI) Elizabeth married William King at Belnahard in the Parish of Birse on 19th September 1873. (Source: Marriage Cert Birse #5). She died at 17 Marywell Street, Aberdeen on 14th February 1877.

7. Francis Coutts baptised Belnahard Birse on 26th November 1843. (Source: Birse Parish Registers): "James Coutts residing at Belnahard and his wife Ann Coutts had a child born and afterwards baptised named Francis"). Francis married Catherine McKenzie at Belnahard in Parish of Birse on 19th September 1873 (Source: Marriage Cert Birse #6). Francis died 14th April 1921 at Dalbing Croft, Finzean, Birse. Catherine died 15th August 1930 at The Kennels, Ballogie, Birse.

8. John Coutts circa 1848 (no baptism has been found to date). John married Annie Keir at Corrybeg in the Parish of Glenmuick on 20th June 1874. The marriage certificate states both his parents were deceased and that her parents were Thomas Keir and Martha Milne. Usual residence for Annie Keir was Burnside, Maryculter. John died 11th May 1881 at Corrybeg, Glengairn of phthisis (consumption).
